About

Heidi Hoang

Hi, I'm Heidi, a Senior PM at Holistics, and someone who came to tech accidentally and stayed on purpose. I studied economics, graduated into a travel startup called VeXeRe, and became a PM because it was the closest thing to "think hard about problems and help build solutions." I've been doing it ever since, at companies, on side projects, and occasionally in a cosmetics business I ran with a friend.

I tend to ask "why does this matter?" before "how do we build this?" — which makes me a slightly annoying PM and, I hope, a useful one. I care about growth in all its forms: businesses, products, and life. Not as a tagline — as the actual question I keep returning to.

Outside Work

I'm a reader, a traveler, and a lapsed pianist thinking about starting again.

I travel to understand people, culture, and history — not just to see places. Every trip leaves me with a better sense of how the world actually works, which I think makes me better at the work too. (Travel albums coming soon.)

I read broadly and on purpose — product and business strategy alongside geopolitics, economics, and Vietnamese literature. The reading list on my homepage is a decent portrait of how my mind works. I'm interested in how the world runs, not just how products work. Full list →

I think a lot about meaning: what makes something worth doing, what makes a life worth living. What am I actually doing with my time, and does it matter? It's the same question I bring to work.

(I also co-parented a cat named Mun for a while. He lives with a friend now.)
